Short predictions

Stanford: On offense they should be dominate with Bryce Love (Heisman Trophy runner up, 263 att. for 2,118 yds. and 19 TDs), their QB K.J. Costello (124-211 1,573 yds. and 14 TDs), and their leading wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside (48 rec. for 781 yds. 9 TDs). On defense their only problem will be a big problem. Their defensive line will have a bunch of problems especially with depth. But at Linebacker and in the secondary, should be able to back up the D-line and have a good season. So overall I think they should win the Pac-12 because of all they weak defenses. I think they’ll go 9-3 in the regular season but then again there are some teams on here that can give’em trouble like San Diego St., USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, Utah, Washington, California, and UCLA.

Washington: I Think Washington will be a very strong contender especially with 2016 Heisman candidate Jake Browning, And on a great defense they have nine returning starters. I think if Washington can take down Auburn and Stanford They will very well be a contender to make their second playoffs in three years.

Washington St.: I think Washington St. will struggle on offense especially at QB and on the offensive line. On defense they should do great once again with seven returning starters, but they have a new defensive coordinator (Tracy Claeys). So as long as their QB ends up doing good then Washington St. could be a contender in the Pac-12 North.

USC: I’ll talk about defense first for a change. Last year USC ranked 60th in the nation and 5th in the Pac-12 in Scoring defense, they gave up 32.6 POINTS PER GAME! They were 82nd and 6th in the Pac-12 in Passing yards allowed per game (237.0), they were 56th in the nation and 5th in the Pac-12 in Rushing yards allowed per game (185.1), and finally they were 68th in the nation and 5th in the nation in total yards allowed per game (395.6). They have seven returning starters on that defense. They should improve but they’ll still have some trouble. On offense they lost Sam Darnold, Ronald Jones and Deontay Burnett. but with Stephen Carr and Aca’Cedric Ware they should be good on the run game. At QB their expected starter is true freshman and number three recruit for the Trojans JT Daniels. So I think USC will win the Pac-12 South once again but will probably lose to Stanford or Washington depending on which one the play.

Arizona St.: Arizona St. could do great with their new coach (Herm Edwards) or they could do awful. Lucky for them on offense they have Manny Wilkins (QB) and N’Keal Harry (their leading receiver) are returning, so they should be good on offense. But on defense they won’t have to much luck with four returning starters on a terrible defense.

Utah: I think Utah will have a great season this year and be a contender for the Pac-12 South. They’ll have a very experienced Offense with 7 returning starters including  QB Tyler Huntley and RB Zack Moss. On defense they should do good despite only having 4 returning startersmand they have good depth.

UCLA: I think this isn’t UCLA’s year. UCLA may have Chip Kelly but the players he recruited are not experienced, so I don’t think they will contend for the Pac-12 South just yet but soon they will come through. So I think, like Nebraska, UCLA will have a boom year in about 2 to 4 seasons.
