Short previews
Michigan: Now we’ll start on offense. They shouldn’t have to much trouble here as long as the offensive line can improve. Michigan has a lot of talent, like at QB they have Shea Patterson (graduate transfer from Ole Miss), At running back they have Karan Higdon, who had 164 attempts for 994 yards and 11 TDs, and they also have Chris Evans, At Tight End they have their returning leader in receiving, Sean Mckeon, who had 31 receptions for 301 yards and 3 TDs, finally at WR they have talent with Donovan Peoples-Jones,Grant Perry, and Tarik Black. Last year Michigan was 49th in the nation and 4th in the Big Ten in rushing yards per game (177.7), But 111th in the nation and 11th in the Big ten in passing yards per game (171.2), But with Shea Patterson and some young and experienced WRs things could change if the O-Line can give him some time.
Now we’re going to talk about the Defense. Well, if you look at last years stats and how many players are returning it’s pretty obvious that Michigan is going to have one of the best defenses in the country. Last year Michigan was 13th in the nation and 3rd in the Big Ten in scoring defense (25.2), 18th in the nation and 6th in the Big Ten in Rushing yards allowed per game (120.9), and 1st in the nation in passing yards allowed per game (150.1), And they have 8 PLAYERS COMING BACK on that defense.
So if Michigan’s offensive line can improve and Shea Patterson meets his expectations, Michigan should be able to win the Big ten and maybe even make it to the CFP.

Big Ten Championship: Wisconsin W
Michigan St. I would just like to say 10 starters are coming back to a decent Offense that got’em to a 10-3 season and 9 returning to a defense that was second in the nation in rush defense and 7th total. So overall Michigan St. should be a contender in Big ten and even for the playoffs.

Ohio St. All I have to say about them is that they lost some crucial players on defense and J.T. Barrett, but they do have J.K. Dobbins who should be a strong Heisman contender, but I think every team but Ohio St. and maybe Rutgers, Illinois, and Purdue will improve. But they should be a major contender in Big ten and for the CFP.

Penn St. They should still be great on offense but on defense they only have 2 returning starters So depth should be a big problem.

Wisconsin: On offense they should be good, especially with Jonathan Taylor who had 299 attempts for 1,977 yds., and 13 TDs. On defense they should be good, but depth will be a problem.

Nebraska. Even though they have Scott Frost at Head Coach now, I don’t think they’ll be able to contend for the Big Ten West immediately it might take a few more seasons, But I do think think they will be able to make a bowl game.
